How the Animation workspace works

Load a rigged character — a skinned GLB from Auto-Rig, your own file, or a marketplace model by its ID — and play clips from the built-in motion library on it. Scrub the timeline, loop it and change the speed, tick the clips you want, and export an animated GLB, or send them to Sprite Sheet to render 2D frames. The motion library, playback and export are free and run on your own hardware.

Engine motions go further: pick up to five — including a creature library for four-legged, insect, serpent and aquatic rigs — and the BitSoul3D Engine retargets them onto your rig, in place if you want no root motion. Each clip lands in the library ready to play and export. Engine motions use credits (the total shows before you run them) and need a free account.

Questions

Can I animate a 3D character for free?

Yes. The built-in motion library, playback and the animated GLB export are free and need no account. Only engine motions, retargeted onto your rig by the BitSoul3D Engine, use credits.

My model is not rigged. What now?

Rig it first in the free Auto-Rig workspace and use Send to Animate, or start from a marketplace character that already ships rigged with walk, idle and run clips.

Which engines can use the exported animation?

The export is an animated GLB, which Unity, Unreal Engine 5, Godot and Blender import with its animation clips.
